The short version for parents

Hurofi is a child-directed learning app. We do not show ads, do not use advertising SDKs, do not track your child across other apps, and do not sell personal data. Most learning happens on your device. We collect only what is needed to fix crashes, optionally save progress to an account you choose to create, and verify purchases behind a parental gate.

What information the app stores on your device

During setup, a parent may enter a child's nickname, choose an age range (3–5 or 6–8), and pick a companion character. The app also saves learning progress (completed levels and stars), sound preferences, and a record that a parent accepted these terms.

By default, this information stays on your device in the app's local storage. It is not sent to Digitovex unless you choose optional account features described below. You can erase on-device data at any time via Settings → Reset progress, or by deleting the app.

Crash and diagnostic data (Sentry)

We use Sentry, a third-party crash reporting service, to collect anonymous crash reports and basic device and diagnostic information (such as device model, operating system version, and app version) solely to detect and fix technical problems.

Optional account data (Supabase)

If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address via Supabase solely to save and sync your child's learning progress across devices.

Account creation is optional — the app works fully without an account. Your email is never used for advertising and is not shared with third parties for marketing. Supabase's privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy

Creating an account is available only behind the parental gate and is intended for parents or guardians, not children entering their own email.

What we do NOT do

• No advertisements and no third-party advertising SDKs
• No cross-app tracking or behavioral profiling for marketing
• No sale of personal data — we do not sell or rent your information
• No collection of children's photos, contacts, or precise location for our own use
• No use of your email for marketing if you create an optional account

Purchases

Hurofi offers optional premium subscriptions and a one-time purchase, available only behind a parental gate. Payments are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies — we never see your payment details.

To check whether a purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous random identifier and purchase receipt information from the app store. It does not receive your child's nickname, age, or learning profile, and we do not link purchase data to your child's identity. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Speech and audio

Most spoken words, stories, and feedback in Hurofi use pre-recorded audio bundled in the app. If a parent enters a nickname, the app may speak it locally as part of the greeting; the nickname is not sent to us unless you use optional account sync (which stores progress, not voice recordings).

Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Hurofi is designed for children aged 3–8 and is child-directed. We follow a data-minimization approach: we collect only what is needed to run the app, fix crashes, and optionally sync progress when a parent chooses to create an account.

Setup steps that involve choices about the child (nickname, consent, account creation, purchases) sit behind a parental gate intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate parental involvement.

Parents can delete on-device data via Settings → Reset progress or by uninstalling the app. See Deleting your data below for account and server-side deletion.

Deleting your data

If you created an optional account, you can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@digitovex.com. We will delete your data within 30 days.

Crash and diagnostic data is anonymous and not linked to any account. If you use the app without an account, no personal data is stored on our servers and nothing needs to be deleted there — you can clear on-device data via Settings → Reset progress or by uninstalling the app.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the app collects or how data is used, we will update this policy first, change the "Last updated" date, and present material changes to parents in the app where appropriate before they take effect.
