Terms of Use
1. Who these terms are for
Hurofi is an educational app for children aged roughly 3–8, but these terms are an agreement between Digitovex (Dubai, United Arab Emirates — "we", "us") and you, the parent or legal guardian who installs the app and accepts these terms during setup. By ticking the consent box behind the parental gate, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy on behalf of yourself and your child.
2. What Hurofi is
Hurofi provides Arabic vocabulary learning for children through interactive games and stories. The app works offline; no account is required or offered. A portion of the content is free; the remainder is unlocked by an optional premium purchase (Section 4).
3. Acceptable use
The app is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial family use. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the app or its content (words, audio, stories, artwork, characters), and not to circumvent the parental gate or purchase mechanisms. Supervision of your child's use of the device remains your responsibility.
4. Premium purchases and subscriptions
Hurofi Premium is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency as set by Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms; we never receive your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — not inside the app.
- The purchase flow sits behind a parental gate. You are responsible for keeping your device's purchase authentication (Face ID, password, etc.) enabled so children cannot complete purchases.
- Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their respective policies; we cannot issue refunds directly for store purchases.
- "Restore purchases" in the app re-activates a previous purchase on a new or reset device using the same store account.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its characters, stories, audio, design, and all content are owned by Digitovex or its licensors and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws of the United Arab Emirates and international treaties. The license in Section 3 grants use, not ownership.
6. Changes to the app and these terms
We may update, add, remove, or modify content and features at any time, and may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected at this page with a new "Last updated" date, and where the change is significant, communicated to parents in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the app and (if applicable) cancel your subscription via your store account.
7. Termination
You may stop using Hurofi at any time by deleting the app; on-device data is erased with it. We may suspend or terminate the license of any user who violates these terms.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Hurofi is an educational aid, not a guarantee of any learning outcome. The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Digitovex shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app, and our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the consumer protection laws of the United Arab Emirates.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
